It looks more like Steve's style, which is photoillustration (makes sense). In his show before last, he built a pocketwatch that looked as good as any 3D render, then softened it. You could use the exact techniques Steve is sharing here to make your own image anywhere along the real/drawn spectrum.

And as said on the show itself - I shall now go into therapy for intense feelings of inadequacy. Another brilliant job by the one and only Steve Caplin! Since I do have to do quite a bit of imaginative painting myself in Photoshop, I would love to see an entire webinar or at least a large portion of it with some tips on how to "look at" light and shadow. So paramount in having one's images look real.

I guess the first show I watched was the holloween show, even though I never intended to do greeting cards or anything alike. I am just mesmerized with the way Steve approaches images and work wonders. So count on me on his shows even if the subject doesn't seem to be of much interest to me, I always pick up some techniques to improve my vision and workflow. And... I had the "How to cheat..." before these shows :-) Great shows, thanks a lot

Thank you Steve and Doug for another enjoyable and educational show. The thing I appreciated more than anything was one of the simplest: which was to copy merge a number of layers without even selecting the layers first; it makes working so efficient. Also Steve's inexhaustible ability to recycle and re-purpose objects into other objects. The added glint on the bottom of spherical objects also adds that great element of realism. I could keep going but suffice it to say I am now itching to be more creative in my own images.
