RetouchPRO LIVE "Resolution" with Andrew Rodney

On our next all-new RetouchPRO LIVE, color guru Andrew Rodney returns, this time to once and for all sharpen up the blurry topic that is "resolution".

From Andrew:
"In this 2 hour session, we’ll cover every critical component of resolution from capture to processing to output.

Some common questions that will be answered include:

Should you scan and print at maximum resolution? What’s the best approach to resizing an image up and down in Photoshop, Camera Raw or Lightroom? What's with all the bicubics, and isn't {insert plugin here} better?

What’s the best way to target output resolution for differing technologies like the web, inkjet and halftone? How many megapixels are enough, and are more really better? What the heck is a megapixel anyway?

At the end of this presentation, whether you are a newbie to imaging or a seasoned pro, you’ll gain valuable tips and knowledge about your digital images and how to control their resolution."

After Andrew is finished with his presentation, he will answer more general questions on a time available basis. There will be downloadable notes after the show.

Saturday, July 2, 4pm CDT (see link below for other time zones)

I hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot by sending out the email announcement about this show so early.

Great show, very informative and clear...Thanx Andrew, hope to see you again soon on RetouchPro LIVE... ;-) ....I definitely need to watch your other shows... I am still wondering, how Aperture generally competes to Lightroom in YOUR opinion... I generally like Apple, but i am still afraid to use Aperture because of it's metadata issues and so forth, so Lightroom seems to be the "only" way to go for the moment...also regarding Digital Asset Management...In my opinion it seems to be the most complete one....

Thank you Andrew and Doug really great show. I will certainly be looking at the colour and printing webinars in a few days when I get chance.
I was really interested in what you had to say about Lightroom and some of the other plug ins as I don't currently have these and it is really helpful to find out what the strengths of these different programs are.

I uploaded Andrew's "Sharpening" show to the international rentals section, referenced so many times in today's show. I'll have today's show uploaded in a few hours.

I use Aperture for printing books but that’s about it. I’ll look it over in terms of resamling up. Currently I render out all my raw’s as TIFFs and import into Aperture just to build those books.
