Creating a spot colour

Apologies if this is a bit basic, but I am new to this sort of thing.

I need to create a spot colour – PMS 233C – for the image attached. Not the brush – but the base of the object.

Can anyone give a quick 1-2-3 step guide.

Follow the attached steps then copy and paste required image into the Spot Channel
