How to obtain this effect? Hi everybody I'm new in this forum. Please, may somebody show me how to do this effect (or similar) with a header with a picture at back? This .gif was made in PhotoShop, but I'm working with Corel PhotoPaint v.12 (and v.10) Thanks in advance Marco

For a quick start.... 1. Open Image 2. Type Text 3. Select Text Object and go to Effects/3d Effects and experiment with the Emboss filter. 4. Then lower the opacity of the text layer to get the photo below it to show through. To make it stand out more, apply a drop shadow. You will probably need to mask it so that it doesn't show up under the text...just outside of the text since your text is see through.

Hi T Paul Thanks a lot for your reply I found very useful the tutorial for Corel Draw v.9 I did it in CD v.12 and it looks fantastic for my purposes, and much better because I don't need to work with my .tif. Instead, it's a simple 5 minutes in vector mode in Corel, leaving intact my original image. I'll try later the Photoshop tutorial. Here (attached) is my first one: Marco
