PSPTutorials Spreadsheet

If the retouchpro site allows me to upload an Excel Spreadsheet (I see it needs to be in a zip file), then I will share my current version of tracking and using tutorials in general and informative web pages in particular, using the hyperlink commands within Excel. The attached is just one page of a much larger Workbook which I am using to guide and record my learning process with PSPx. In the larger workbook, I am including a lot of references to PS sites as many of the techniques can go cross platform as long as they do not depend on proprietary commands.

Example, PS has its Extract command, yet PSPx has its BGE (Background Eraser) tool. Nonetheless, lots of PS tutorials can be adapted to PSP.

In any case, if this uploads (I see it needs to be a zip file), it contains more PSP tutorial references that you will probably want. I have put my personal ranking on some of them. For reference, this was made in Excel 2002.

Thanks,

Ken

Thanks,

The zipped Excel .xls file downloads/unzips and opens fine. This is a terrific resource, Ken.

Thanks very much for sharing it.

the GIMP

I am suprised no one has mentioned the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Software). It is very similar to Photoshop. It is an opensource, Linux based program (there is a windows version), and it's free (don't let this fool you, it's very powerful).

To Download the program (also need the GTK runtime environment first):

Tutorials:

User's manual:
http://manual.gimp.org/en/index.html

I was skeptical at first, but am a big fan now. You can even save your files in a Photoshop format if you need to switch programs.
