Post Texture Mapping - Video Tutorial

A tutorial demonstrating Texture Mapping in Photoshop. Done in CS2, but earlier versions of Photoshop should also work.

Re: Texture Mapping - Video Tutorail

Very clear explanation of a technique that I had never used before your tutorial. Your video presentation was smooth and professional, and I learned something that I'm using for one of my Christmas gift photos -- Thanks!

It worked fine in PShop V7.01, for those who still are using an older version.

You do a lot of graphic design work, I believe; what are some of the uses you have found for this technique?

Re: Texture Mapping - Video Tutorail

CJ & Phil

Thank you for the kudos on the video. :-)

I've used texture mapping mostly to create backgrounds for things like display ads or book pages. Sometimes I use them at 100% opacity, other times, back them off to about 20%. They are fairly uncluttered and text works nicely over them.

Re: Texture Mapping - Video Tutorail

Swampy,

Thank you. What really interests me is the creation of the video...where do I go to learn that skill?

Re: Texture Mapping - Video Tutorail

Gee, Sky... I didn't learn...just DO! LOL

I used Snapz Pro X with movie capture to create the video and, Thanks to Phil, iSquint to reduce the QT file size.

Glad you enjoyed.

Swampy - enjoyed the tutorial. I never had messed with the texturizer much, but I see some possibilities. Thanks.
