Here's a quick Tute on Photoshop's Match Color... The idea is you want to use the overall color ambiance of one photo in another. In the exmple photos below, I wanted the original beach scene to have the purple cast of the sunset scene.
Always work on a duplicate layer!
1. Open Both photos
2. Make the beach scene the active file and select Image>Adjust>Color Match
3. In the Color Match Dialog, in the lower popup, choose the Sunset file as the SOURCE. You also have the option to choose the LAYER from the Sunset file that you want to take color from. This is helpful if you have made color adjustments to the Sunset file on another layer. You will see a thumbnail of the Sunset scene in the preview window and you will see an immediate change in your active Beach scene file.
4. Play with the sliders until you get the amount of color and luminesce you want.
