Post Filter Forge: Watercolor Painting

This tutorial will show how to turn a usual photo into a watercolor painting, quickly and simply. Tools used: Adobe Photoshop with the Filter Forge plug-in and a photo I've personally taken. [details]

FF is a very flexible plugin.

Nicely done. Thanks for a terrific contribution.

Re: Filter Forge: Watercolor Painting

Excellent tutorial! Filter Forge is capable of some incredible work in many different styles.

I spent some time at an art museum today (for maybe the second time in my life!) and was amazed by seeing the real deal (paintings from the 1300s on up). My visit proved to me how various art plug-ins and apps are closely reproducing the traditional painting styles.

Re: Filter Forge: Watercolor Painting

hi kochubey! i'm glad you made it over here

i'm going to blow the whistle on kochubey here a bit. it's not really a secret or anything, but kochubey works for filter forge. she also makes some incredible filters! and the fact of the matter is, i invited her to come here, both to see what all we do and to, hopefully, participate. and i'm very glad she's doing both

so, some of the cynics here may feel this is just a covert plug for filter forge. frankly, i dont care it's a very good tutorial and kochubey is an accomplished artist and i'm very glad to see her here!

Kochubey,
It is because of your tutorial that I found out about Photo Filter and bought it yesterday. Photo Filter is a pretty impressive program and I'm having a lot of fun playing with it.
