coloured light in portrait

Hello, I am looking for a long time some tutorial for this effect:

I do not know how to give a portrait a coloured light like the left side of the retouched picture.
Any tips?

Try desaturating the image about 90%, increase the contrast with a Levels or Curves adjustment, then add a photo filter to add a blue cast

I had already tried this, even using layer masks, but I don´t like the result because they don´t looks real... maybe I´m too demanding!!

Try using selective colour. Under the "whites" and you should be able to play with the hue.

Select the area where you want your highlight, apply a dodge curve & a channel mixer (or a tone curve) to it, blur the mask to soften the edges.

I didn't realize that this was an old post when I started trying to reproduce this image. Anyway, I started out with partial desaturation, Curves darkening and coloring (greenish blue), followed by Soft light dodge and burn. The blue light was painted on a blank layer in Overlay mode. I softened the skin some with NR and Inverse High Pass and finally applied localized reverse USM for contrast.
