| New tutorial By Doug Nelson (doug) on Saturday, May 19, 2001 - 11:08 pm: We have our first original tutorial submission. It's on luminosity masking and sepia toning. Let me know what you think. And let me know if YOU have a tutorial you'd like me to publish. By Doug Nelson (doug) on Saturday, July 28, 2001 - 08:56 am: Two new tutorials, both quite excellent. One is by Mig from a couple of weeks back (sorry I didn't announce it here then, Mig) and one posted just this morning by Jigal van Hemert |

| "Luminosity mask" is one of those terms that can confound the brain by its mere sound. But here's an easy explanation: A luminosity mask uses the brightness values in an image as a mask. If you've ever copied a grayscale image into a channel, and then loaded the channel as a selection, you've done luminosity masking. [details] Last edited by Doug Nelson; 07-24-2003 at 12:51 PM. |
