Images in your tutorials

Our tutorial publishing system isn't as easy as it should be, but it's not that hard, either. Here's how to insert an image in your tutorial.

Click on the Insert icon (see insert.jpg) then do the uploading steps in the correct order (see image-attach.gif) and you're done.

How many can you upload for a tutorial?

As far as I know it's unlimited. This new upgrade changed a lot of things (and I'm still stomping bugs). I think, but have as of yet unconfirmed, that you can upload all the images at once, then insert them where needed. I've only tried one at a time, like the old system.

Ed and Doug, I can confirm that. For my X-Ray Brush I uploaded all the images at once (yesterday), and then just "walked" through the article and inserted at their respective positions.

Re: Images in your tutorials

Hi Doug.

I followed the instructions above.
Step 1 OK
Step 2 OK
I then get an ‘Upload Successful’ Message but the picture does not show in the box at the top left so I can’t do step 3. I have tried Firefox and IE.

Ken.

Re: Images in your tutorials

I got it to work.

Firefox would Not upload the images. I got IE to upload them after I switched off the popup blocker.

Re: Images in your tutorials

Popup blocker will interfere with a lot of RP things, not just tutorials. Best to list us as a friendly site so it ignores us.

Where or how do you turn off pop-up blocker in IE 253 Mac?

Re: Images in your tutorials

I don't think the Mac version ever had a popup blocker. But if you're using Google toolbar or other plugins, some of those added popup blocking.

Unable to See Images in your tutorials

I've tried both turning off popup blocker and adding retouchpro as an acceptable/friendly site and I cannot see any of the pictures under the tutorial section.

I seldom have any problem with pictures anywhere else on the site.

Using IE 6 - and I have the Zone Alarm suite running too - but don't find anything about popups being blocked there ---Any other place I should look?

For those who don't know where Popup Blocker is.. look unter the Tools menu category (Win XP & IE 6)

Regards
Bob Mc

Re: Images in your tutorials

Check the FAQ (under the RetouchPRO menu) for "Red X's"
