| Re: High-Pass & Gaussian – Choosing the radius Thank you very much for sharing this tutorial. I learned a lot about high pass and Gaussian blur. I had not understood their relationship before. Two quick questions:
I look forward to your assistance. Best regards, Kevin |

| Re: High-Pass & Gaussian – Choosing the radius Stecyk, 1. Yes, that color fill layer was just used to create a grayscale merged layer that was then duplicated many times. It was not deleted in the action. 2. Delete Current Channel deletes the layer mask which is automatically added to an Adjustment Layer - like the Brightness/Contrast. Whenever you add an adj layer if you examine the Channels Palette you will see that this layer mask is added to the channels palette and that is where the active channel is parked. If you look at that layer in the layers palette after the deletion you will notice that there is no layer mask on that adj layer because it is not required. Regards, Murray |

| Re: High-Pass & Gaussian – Choosing the radius Even better, use Brightness / Contrast in Legacy mode to apply -50 contrast before you run HP -- that way you can avoid the clipping Stroker refers to. |
