| | | Sorry for the dead link. Fortunately, Racc and Mike found new ones.
So it's real after all, although it could be faked with software like ProShow (thanks for the link Kurt!). Based on Mike's info, I visited Light-O-Rama's site. I estimate Carson Williams' setup at $2,000. He really wanted this!
CJ, the Mike Ridout show is also worth seeing. I thought it was stuck until I pressed his name at the bottom of the intro screen.
Thanks for the new videos Legacy and Mike. I wish I could dance like that sober!

| | Ok, I just returned from a little trip to Mason. I can truthfully say that, unequivocally, undeniably, without even a trace of doubt...it's the real thing! There ain't no photoshoppin' here.
It's actually quite an impressive display. A sign in the front yard tells visitors to "Tune to 96.5 FM". Carson has over 25,000 lights sync'ed to music transmitted to your car radio. The song in the video is actually only one of several he has in the "show", which include Snoopy and the Red Baron, a dancing Frosty the Snowman, and another Trans-Siberian Orchestra tune. Apparently he runs it only from 6:00pm to 10:00pm every night, so as not to aggravate the neighbors. From what I understand, the neighbors are all fine with it. All in all, quite fun to see.

Your link wasn't dead. I got it from the link you originally posted. It was a little unclear on that person's page. I thought it was a broken link at first, too. Then I looked closer at the last line on that page and saw the link. It said to save the file first, but I didn't want to do that. Out of curiosity I clicked on it anyway and it worked. So, I just reposted that last line with the link here in this thread.
Glad it worked for everyone.

| | | Yeah, but I'm an electrician so he used 88 channels to do his show.
What if I used more?
Actually, I am really impressed. WOW! |

I used Mapquest to get directions (my fav Google Maps couldn't find that street). It was very easy to get to.

| | | definitely real! This is definitely real!
I just was flipping through channels this morning and on the Today show I stopped because I recognized the house and it's lights! They had the whole family on there talking with them. He said that it adds about $150 to his light bill to run the lights.

| | | I am his neighbor! LOL! Yes, it definitely is real...I live right around the corner from him! It is very neat to see, but the traffic yesterday (after the Today Show aired it, I'm assuming) was out of control! We were not able to get in or out of our neighborhood and I actually heard that there was over an hour wait to drive back to his house. Pretty crazy! I'm just thankful that I don't live next door or I would be pretty upset about it! |
