| | Thank you, Ed! I was a bit suspicious at first, even though it was posted by you, that it might be a joke. But it's a nice pop version of "White Christmas", and I enjoyed the reindeer soloist at least as much as I did Santa.
Singing Santa, singing reindeer -- it's Christmas -- everything good is possible! |

Gary, I agree!! I started wondering who the singers were because I really enjoy their version, and finally tracked the answer down to The Drifters (whom I loved as a teenager -- "Save the Last Dance for Me", "Up on the Roof", "Dance with Me", etc.). I don't remember hearing it on the radio when they were BIG, but I found out that it's in the soundtrack for the movie "Home Alone". I imagine most people heard it there.... or on the internet with them disguised as Santa and his reindeer.
I also found that Bing's version is still the biggest selling song -- lots of us want to hear Bing sing Christmas songs, watch "The Christmas Carol" and "Miracle on 34th Street" as part of the tradition. I guess some of the younger generations have other traditional favorites... |

| | | Re: Cool singing Santa Hi CJ,
Didn't know it was The Drifters, thanks for that.
I still watch White Christmas every year, despite the fact that I could probably recite it word for word by now, it's timeless (besides it distracts me from my hangover singing along with Bing ). |
