18, not sure if a couple are wrong due to english (correct) spellings as opposed to US spellings of words.

I'm on 29, but I haven't given up yet.
Stuck on 28, 30, 31 and 33.

Maybe I'll trade 33 with Craig later.

Gary, actually I think this is biased more to the English than Americans. I could cite which questions - but that would be cheating now, wouldn't it?
But, yes, in one of them there is a version of the spelling that I don't remember seeing before.

[edit: 30 now, got number 31]

I love doing these. Here are two more

Craig. Good score. Q6. Make the ‘J’ plural and you’ll have 20. (But both should be correct)

Only one left now. q28 was actually pretty easy.

I've got some good ideas for q30, but none of them fits.

Anybody solved q30?

ok, got 6 and 7. i was right about 6 but just had something wrong with it last night. so i'm up to 21 or 33.

damn, Ro, you've got 31 of 33? that's pretty amazing. and i dont know about favoring the brits. there were some definite americanisms in there. but if there are some in there about british money or games, then i'm totally lost there

ah, just got 17 ... hehehe... i wont say any more

so, 22 of 33.

craig

edit: got 29. 23 of 33

Got it!! I had sortta thought of that - don't know why I didn't plug it in.

OK, then first test down, now for 2 and 3 - they seem a litle harder.

Parker, shhhhh, don't tell - just give hints, OK?
Check your spelling, there's an "a" in there somewhere.

q14: quite British (commonwealth);
q24: probably more British;
q31: very very British (commonwealth) - not something your average American would ever know.

Good luck,

Good luck,

Most british people dont know any more about the commonwealth than anyone else :p

Would be nice if this was international. Not really a test of intelligence since it relies on certain and in some cases, culture specific, knowledge.

Gary, if you want some hints, here a big one....

q28 H B is not Holy Bible

Nancy, it's not knowledge about the commomwealth, it's knowledge in the commonwealth. The sort of things a Brit, Aussie, New Zealander would recognize, but not an American.

The second test is much less biased. I'm 15/24 now and not one is "just for Brits".

technically 14 isnt quite right it should be 15 P in a R U T since there are to types of R each with different numbers of P

Not impressed with part 2, no wonder I cant get them

#1 - just wrong there are 7 C in the W, not sure which 2 they're missing out there, aparently it originally said just 5
#3 - massively inaccurate since 206 is widely accepted as the average number of B in a H B, 208 - 214 cant be the range. In reality the range is nearer 200-300 B in an H B (since they're not more specific than that)
#15 isnt technically correct but it is the generally accepted number
#18 - terminology/semantics isnt great since the P is redundant an H is a P, there are no non-P H's
#19 facinating fact but certainly not general knowledge or a well known phrase or saying
#20 depends on the size of the P
#21 thats just getting silly and desperate
#23 - constantly changing, already out of date there are 116 now
#24 no comment.

hope part 3 is better.

Up to 31 now, 2 to get.

24,28

Cheated and looked up the last 2. Should have got 24, wouldn't have got 28.

Very Fun - HOWEVER -

28, 30, 31, 33 - !!!!

I know I know what 33 is but the DM part won't focus in my brain - lol. 28 seems on the tip of my tongue as well, but I swear. About to throw this thing out the window.

Want a good laugh. Have had all but these for probably the past hour, just driving me nuts - and one other. I am thinking of every t on a f I can think of. DUH - I feel stupid!

Still thinking on these last 4 though. UGH!!!

Fun!

I still can't get 5 T on a F... I thought I had it when I decided it was 5 tines on a fork but then it didn't fit and I did some research on Wikipedia and found that forks (table forks) usually have 2-4 tines..ha, ha...did anyone else come up other silly answers that didn't fit?

Syd

Syd - I SOOO know what you mean about the T on a F.
That was what I was thinking too. Seriously, if you haven't already gotten it - when you do - well, think Homer Simpson - DOH!! You will not believe that you actually had to TRY for that one.

I was totally overthinking that one. Try not to do that. lol

Thanks Dawn I got it! It had me stumped for a while and then it hit me this morning while I was wiggling them in bed! Now I am still stuck with 9 L of a C! Oh, you won't believe what I have come up with for that one but I have a sneaking suspicion it is just as easy as the last one. I desperately want to peek at the answers but then I know I am going to be disappointed if I find out I should have got them all along, so, for the time being, I am sticking doggedly at it. Thanks for your support!

Sincerely Syd

Yeah definitely don't peek for 9 L of a C - definitely at least almost as easy. Took me a while too though.
