On the Menu bar select "HELP" while holding down {Ctrl and Alt} and with the Lt. mouse button depressed slide the cursor down to "About Photoshop", and release it. The screen will pop up. Those Adobe folks must have gotten the anti-freeze mixed up with the espresso while on one of their late night sessions to have dreamed that up. Tom

The Photoshop guru Deke Mc something or other used to list some buried treasures in one of his books, seemed to remember a cat appearing somewhere around ver 5.

Yes, the cat was activated the same way, in older versions (he's sadly gone, now).

In the Mac version only, if you click on his nose, he burps.

Version 6 has it's little surprises too but I don't recall how you get to them off hand, but if you click on this link you will find a list of all the Photoshop surprises and by clicking on each listed you will see the instructions to make them work.

When Engineers are designing software they sometimes imbed these cute things called Eggs and there are funny little Eggs in just about every program imaginable. If you go to Applications you will find Paint Shop Pro listed too along with alot of other programs you may have. Check the website out and follow the instructions and you will get lots of surprises for about anything you can imagine. It's really neat.

Actually they're called Easter Eggs. If you do a search with that phrase, you will find that quite a few programs have Easter Eggs.
