| | | The 5 You'd Most Like to Meet this is an old game in our family, particularly with my mother. the idea is smiple. pick the 5 people in all of history, or the present, that, if it were possible to meet and speak with and language wasnt a barrier or anything like that, and assuming they'd speak openly, you'd most like to speak with.
you may find this more difficult than you'd imagine at first. you can only pick 5 out of all of history. they can be living or dead, male or female, but not ficticious. they can be from any walk of life, famous, infamous or more or less unknown.
also, add in a little about why you'd like to meet your 5. and be honest. you may also find that you want to lie a little so as not to offend or seem odd or for whatever reason.
this isnt a quiz or psych exam or something other than just what i've stated; who would you want to speak with from history or contempory times.
i'll spare you my 5 for now, somewhat because it keeps changing and somewhat so as not to give anyone any ideas |

| | | Re: The 5 You'd Most Like to Meet In no particular order Frank Lloyd Wright - Just to be near this excentric genius would be a privlilege. Leonardo da Vinci - What imagination, talent and foresight. Jesus - A man who changed the world. George F. Handel - Having sung his "Messiah" with various choral groupls since high school, I'd love to hear it conducted by him. Tiger Woods - Will probably go down as the greatest golf ever. His raw talent matched with his ferocious drive, concentration and determination are amazing. |

| | | Re: The 5 You'd Most Like to Meet Ben Franklin - He was an amazing man in so so many ways.
Nietzsche - After reading him for so many years, I would love to know what his demeanor was in real life.
My mother when she was about 16 years old - I'm really curious what she was like before life turned her into the woman I know now.
Beethoven - In my opinion, one of the most amazing and fascinating musicians/composers of all time.
Van Gogh - before he totally went nuts - I would love to sit down for a drink with the man just to know what his everyday mannerisms were... the mundanity behind the genius. |

However, just to be in the "game", I will mention one. His name is Fats Waller, piano magician from the thirties and forties. Just to sit, (preferably just him & me), and listen and watch that man play for as long as he wanted to keep it up, would really be something amazing. Unfortunately, Fat's died in the 40's while returning to New York City by train after a concert out west. He passed away on the train somewhere in Kansas.
And someone once cynically said about meeting someone you admire, "What they do is often so much better than what they are."

| | | Re: The 5 You'd Most Like to Meet This is really tough, I might have to come back and change my mind later
1. The person who first invented the wheel. How did that come about?
2. I would have liked to have been sitting in the third chair when my great grandfather came home from the Civil War and started swapping war stories with my great great grandfather (a veteran of the British Army in India).
3. Mark Twain, need I say more?
4. The architect of the Egyptian Pyramids, where did the idea come from and how did they do it.
5. Either Genghis Khan or Alexander the Great, what drove them to do what they did? |
