Intro and questions about Pro retouching work

Hey All,

Thought I'd introduce myself as I am new to this forum. Been retouching for a few months now and am looking to improve, try different things, expand the boundaries and so forth. I'm in the process of setting up a folio site and would like to offer my services in exchange for being able to use your photos as examples in my folio.

Here are two examples of my work, both retouching and restoration. The restorative piece is unfinished, still a few things to fix but you get the idea.

On a side note, as a retoucher what kind of professional work is available and what level do you need to be at to gain entry into it? Do staff photographers for magazines and other publications do this stuff themselves usually or hire a photoshop guy like us to do it?

Anyway that's it for now, great to be here.

Re: Professional retouching

A belated welcome. I moved your self-introduction thread to this forum where you may get more feedback on your questions. I'm a hobbiest, so I am not qualified to answer them.

In any event good luck with your future endeavor.
