A New Member seeking knowledge

Good Evening, Everyone...brand new to your forum. I located your website trying to find solutions to correcting many old faded black and white and color photos. I am currently running Photoshop 7 and Photo Impact Pro 8.5. I own a Wacom ArtZ II, which I've never mastered. I own a copy of Katrin Eismann's, Second Edition of Restoration & Retouching. I've not yet gone through the FAQ's and responses and am hoping that they will give me some clues on starting the process. I am hoping to find tutorials that explain the problem and how to correct them. As a genealogy volunteer for the state of Maryland I spend a bit of time forwarding some very poor mircofilm images and would like to be able to clean them up before sending them on. I am a retired software developer.

Thank You

Photon, welcome to RetouchPRO! The best way to aquire the knowledge you seek would be to attach a sample image so the members can actually show you methods on a representative image.
Regards, Murray
