Welcome, aridien! I spend time at DPreview also. I think you will find lots of interesting things to read and do here -- it takes a little time to find your way around, but there are lots of wonderful things to see even if you get "lost" for a while.
There are tutorials, and tips, and challenges to try -- whether you want to see retouching, photo restoration, or photo art.
Your English is better than my French, so don't worry about it. This forum has many members from around the world, and many of them speak more than one language. I only got a "C" in Spanish when I was in school, and I was not brave enough to try French.
