Old Lurker; but not for a long time

I haven't had time to be online much. Today was looking for a tutorial on rendering a painterly effect in Photoshop and stumbled back here with a google search.

Right now I am concentrating on scanning and cataloging my photos since I've learned I can never find the one I want to work on. Then, hopefully I can start working on the old family photos that REALLY need work badly!
