Hi folks, I am a new member from Arlington, Virginia. 49 years old, I have been a rank amateur photographer for the last three years. A great club I joined was
www.nvps.org. While an informative club, a lot of what they do is geared toward a seriously more advanced photographer. I have been shooting a Nikon D70s. I like the camera, though, I have thought about upgrading. One reason for my not upgrading the camera is that I dont have the true command and control of the technical aspects of a dslr that I wish to have. So why upgrade when I still have a great camera?
Artistic aptitude has grown considerably because I have a much better knowledge about composition.
I am joining RetouchPRO because I want to develop the technique to bring out in a photo, what I see in my head, if that makes any sense. I now own Photoshop CS3 Extended. Outside of some really basic stuff, I dont know what I am doing. I read a lot of Popular Photography, and follow some of the tutorials by Debbie Grossman. I have seen photos by a young photographer Leanne Lim-Walker. It is amazing the editing work from a self taught 19 year old. Please give me all the tips you can.
