Shameless promoting a film about a Fallen Warrior

If you are unaware of the story "Taking Chance" written in April, 2004 by LtCol M.R. Strobl USMC.. Please watch the Trailer for the upcoming HBO Movie, Premiering February 21, 2009, at 8PM, called, "Taking Chance" (Click Here) starring Kevin Bacon, about the home coming for a fallen warrior.

After watching the Trailer... have a full box of Kleenex handy... please read the original story "Taking Chance" HERE. (it is a long read, but, in my humble opinion worth the time) If you are at work, reading on the 'Puter, be prepared to explain to your co-workers why there is a flood of tears.. (must be a lot of dust in the air here) It's a real tearjerker, I know...

It looks as if HBO has stayed true to LtCol Strobl, and, more importantly, Lance Corporal Chance Phelps with their movie based on the events depicted by LtCol M.R. Strobl USMC. I certainly hope so!

LtCol Strobl was assigned to MCCDC Quantico, VA and served as the officer who escorted the remains of PFC C. Phelps USMC from Dover AFB, DE to his home. PFC Phelps was assigned to 3d Bn, 11th Marines – an artillery unit functioning as a provisional infantry battalion during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 2. PFC Phelps was killed in action from a gunshot wound received on 9 Apr 04 during combat operations west of Baghdad. He was buried in Dubois, WY on 17 Apr 04.

Remember.. HBO Movie Premiering February 21, 2009, 8PM called, "Taking Chance"

Hopefully HBO and Hollywood got it right!

Respect and Thanks to all that served!
