Re: I'm asking for your prayers

Hope you are doing okay. Haven't been on the site much for the past few months, so I was shocked to bump into this thread.

Hope you are back to the computer soon! Love your work and hope to see more of it in the near future. Wishing you the best.

Re: I'm asking for your prayers

Dee Dee, hope the surgery went as planned and that your recovery will go by fast. Your treatment has gone so well so far, that's gotta be a sign that the next steps will go well too. My mom survived cancer and lived for another 25 years until she was 81.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and a speedy return to your active life.

Re: I'm asking for your prayers

I'm Baaaaack!!

I had outpatient surgery, Monday, spent Monday night in a motel, checked in with the Doc Tuesday (yesterday) and was released to come home (2.5 hour drive). Got home about 1:30 and was in my pj's and eating ice cream by 2:00!!!

For a major surgery (double mastectomy) this whole outpatient experience was amazing! I was in and out and back home in less than 24 hours. Slept well in the hotel (no nurse waking you up to get vital signs, lights on and off, noises in the hall etc.)

I'm a little sore this morning. Especially my left arm where the Doc pulled all the lymph nodes and they have to cut a lot of muscels. Right side he only pulled the Sentinel Node and 1 lymph gland so not as much pain there. No pain across my chest because they do sever some of the nerves to reduce pain.

More later, but thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!

hugs...
