My Name is Col, aka Silentmaan.

I heard about this site over at NAPP from a nice member by the name of Christine Kapler, after following a thread of Swampy's over there on "Turning Photo's into paintings", she was kind enough to give me a link to here and after having a look around (especially at the RetouchPro Live Sessions) i was excited and decided to join.

I am very much new to Photoshop CS4 Extended, i've been studying it for roughly 6 months and i'm really still investigating which one of it's many faces i enjoy most, retouching, painting and so on.

I am what i call an Online Multimedia Student, meaning i study from home "online" lol, by being involved in forums and having memberships to places like Lynda.com and soon Kelby Training and so on, also generally following the masters around to watch their latest techniques to emulate them into my own works.

I am a partime father of 3 boys, and due to my health have had to totally rethink my life, and Art is my new direction.

I look forward to getting to know all of you better over the coming months, thanks for having me
