Drive by photography

So i have been working on a poster for a client, i need some good photo's of some construction equipment that i can use to piece together a border for this poster.

of course, i diddnt need these while they were paving my street. Having a full time job and being a father to 2 kids time is at a premium so i dont have much time to hunt down construction equipment.

the last two days on my way to work i found myself holding my Nikon D90 out the passanger side window with a high shutter speed trying to photograph equipment while traveling about 80mph down the highway.

im having marginal success. lolz... today my camera strap snagged on my emergency break when i was trying to shoot construction equipment at high speeds the suprised me by being a mile earlier up the road than i had expected from where i saw it yesterday. The good thing is my 84 civic is such a POS that the E-Brake is more for appearance than function.

anyone else find themselves doing something rather stupid and rediculous in attempts of trying to get a certain element needed for a project?
