| | | Re: A Welcome Note To Newbies Hi Everybody,
I found this site when searching for information on making backdrops for portraits using Paintshop Pro. I immediately joined and added it to my favorites.
I've been interested in retouching and restoration for a LONG time. I started when I was in college. I worked at Kodak while in college and had access to darkroom facilities. A neighbor gave me a set of oil colors for hand coloring photographs. I learned a lot during that time in my life. Life interfered for a while but I'm now active with my photography again. My methods are digital now.
I enjoy preparing DVD shows that include my photos, video and music compositions.
I look forward to learning from and hopefully contributing to this site.

| | | Re: A Welcome Note To Newbies Well here I am! What a great website to be associated with. I just spent a half hour browsing and signed up right away. I started restoring photos a year ago (mostly family photos) and I am basically self taught. I know I have a lot to learn and some bad habits to loose. I have restored a few photos for friends and they were pleased with the results but still don't feel comfortable calling myself a pro and accepting money but that may soon change. Thanks in advance for all the help and learning to be had here.

Despite being a photo enthusiast for more than half-a-century, with digital for the past five years, I have only just discovered RP. What an incredible mine of information and knowledgeable folk. This is my first post, but it won't be the last, even today.
