Re: A Welcome Note To Newbies

I'm new to posting here. I've been lingering for almost a year. Not quite sure why I haven't dove in to the great amount of resources that are out there. I'm a serious ammerature (sp?) and I want to learn all the tricks of the trade. I'm willing to work hard to learn what is right and not do what is sloppy just to get the job done. I hope that there is lots to learn here. I've been to so many sites and it seems that they all say the same thing and I don't feel like I'm learning what I want. Hope to gain some wisdom and knowledge from all the greats out there. Thanks for being available to all of us.

Sincerely.

Re: A Welcome Note To Newbies

Hi everybody! My name is Nick, I'm a newbie here. I have been around a couple weeks trying to absorb all that is offered here. I am a hobby photographer (for now,) trying to learn how to retouch pictures in an acceptable way that I can start working on putting a portfolio together and making some money to pay for all this expensive camera equipment. Hopefully soon I will be at a level that I feel comfortable posting some images without being laughed out of the club.

Re: A Welcome Note To Newbies

Hi my name is Mike. I have been interested in restoration for a little while. I am really pleased to find this site and hope that I can make some progress in what I am trying to do. The current competition looks challenging, way beyond my capability. It will be interesting to see all the entries, the standard so far looks high.
