Re: A Welcome Note To Newbies

Ms. J: At least I think I'm in the Salon and so hope this isn't too off thread.
I'm using CS-3 in Windows XP and am extremely anxious to learn more about a number of the tools in CS-3.
How, please, do I start a search to learn?
The tools I know I don't know include the Art Brush, the Art History Brush, The Pen Tool (all 5 sub-sets), the Path Tool(s - both sub sets).
The hints and tips I've read to date have been less than complete for my level of incompetence which is reasonably above averagely high.
Thank you for any direction, suggestion or hlep. chrispan

Re: A Welcome Note To Newbies

This is my first post, and want to say hello. I have dabbled with photo restoration, and decided that it is incredibly fun. I took cracks out of scans of old Polaroid photos for a wedding presentation and found the whole process extremely gratifying. Now, while trying to organize huge amounts of old family photos, I discovered that enlarging them makes the people much more interesting. I would like to try some commercial applications of this at some point, but realize that there is so much I don't know, both technically and legally.

My first post - just joined. I do mostly landscape and macro photography, but am branching out into portraiture and weddings, so I look forward to learning from the good folks here.

Thumbs up Re: A Welcome Note To Newbies

Hi there! I'm a silver surfer (60+years old) from England with a re-awakened interest in photography. I've just got myself a Nikon D80 and 18-200mm lens and use CS3 for processing. I've only joined up an hour or so, and already fixed 2 of my photos via your tutorials (blown out sky and shadows from flash guns). Hope to learn some more yet.
