| Kool to be a Newbie for an old guy! Hey folks, I started retouching photographs with an airbrush, paint brushes, frisket, razor blades and of coarse prints. Then I got into high tek retouching by dot etching films for press, which is one of many skills that I worked vigilantly to master only to discard because of advancements in technology. The first electronic retouching I did was done on a Scitex system, then Kodak DesignMaster 8000 and finally landed quite comfortably into Adobe Photoshop 2.0. I started playing in Photoshop 0.63 but it wasn't until Adobe added paths in v2.0 could it be used in any professional manner. Layers in v3.0 simplified things because I didn't have to save multiple versions of the same image in case the client wanted to go back a step. I've had a blast over the years making my living at making pretty pictures prettier! So, yeah, I've been around for a while! I am looking forward to learning from the considerable massed skill base here on Retouch PRO and hopefully I can be of assistance to one or two of you! Last edited by eves3; 03-05-2010 at 02:12 PM.
