1.0 ghz. pIII, windows me, 512 ram, PS 7.0 w/ 2 plugins-- Time to open after reboot 18.8 sec.. to open again after that 6.2 sec.

I was surprised

8 seconds after reboot,6 after closing PS. P4 1.8, 512 meg ram and only one new plug in added (fairly new PC).

Ok, did the thing at work today on the brand new Mac (delivered last thursday).

Specs: Dual 1GHZ PowerMac G4 Quicksilver, 2048MB RAM ;Ps 6.0 , Mac OSX.

PS after reboot: 7 sec
PS no reboot: 3 sec

(only Mac OS and PS installed so far...)

Going to do a clean install on my Windows system next weekend (if I have the time

) ..curious to find out if it makes any difference in my current lap-time. And it's time for spring cleaning this system anyway

No need to be... had to return the @$#$%@$# thing today, kept crashing every 2 or 3 minutes for no apparent reason...
They sent over an Apple Systems engineer, but even he didn't have a clue what was causing it..we'll get a replacement (733) tomorrow...
