Re: Volcano in Iceland

Has anyone else ever been to the Almere flower auction by Schiphol? Normally flowers from all over the world are flown and driven there, auctioned in the morning and then flown or driven out the same day to all corners of the world. I'm wondering if there is going to be a glut of local blooms for sale here next week then?

And it's the start of Dutch strawberry season- so maybe more for me.

It boggles the mind. This could have much more far ranging implications than anyone realizes

Re: the face. At least someone else originated that; I just posted the link... ;-)

And Nancy, given enough time, those two planes in your pic will enter each others' space! Or at the least make another X.

I found this

Interesting pictures. Im amazed about the electric charge that ash has. Is it really possible that the ash cloud generates so much electricity that it makes those lightning bolts =o

Re: Volcano in Iceland

Wow some super photo;s turning up, i too am amazed by the lightening

here main job of the day has been everyone cleaning the cars to get rid of the dust on them, which we are all assuming is ash from the volcano
amazing that dust here in the middle of the UK has travelled all the way from Iceland

still airport closure, next question is how long before all the food prices start to increase ? petrol is already at the highest it has ever been @ £1.21p per litre

In UK? =D I thought the main dust cloud is heading to russia over Sweden, Norway and Finland. And at the moment I hope it goes away before friday.. I should be going to Spain. More accurately Majorca. =D If it doesnt.. my flight is going to be delayed.

1.21GBP.. Here it is something like 1.45 EUR which is something like 1.28GBP Been a while. and it always rises at summer because of travellers =D

Re: Volcano in Iceland

the main dust cloud could well be over those countries but we still got some ( hence why the airports are shut )

fingers crossed for your flight and all others,
