Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? The 2011 U.S. football championship, the Super Bowl, is Sunday, February 6. The teams: * Packers (Green Bay, Wisconson) * Steelers (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) Poll question - Which team do you WANT to win? (Sorry, no "I don't care" option.) Voting results are anonymous, that is, how you voted will not be revealed unless you do that yourself in a comment you add to this thread. Note: The team I 'want' to win isn't necessarily the team I 'think' will win.

Re: Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? Not a football guy really (except for my college team Auburn U of course). Still, my Dad's from Wisconsin, so I have to root for the Packers.

Re: Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? My team is the Buffalo Bills and they suck! They haven't been near the playoffs for like 10 years so I root for the underdog every year. This year neither team is the underdog so I hope the Packers win. It's been a long time since they've won a supper bowl so my prediction is Packers 38-24. Go cheese heads! Joe

Re: Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? Joeven, Yeah they have hit upon hard times, but they used to be perennial underachievers. They are the only team to go the superbowl 4 consecutive years - I thin k it was '91 thru '94 and were heavy favorites to boot. Jim Kelly was a great quarterback but will always be labeled with that "couldn't win the big one" moniker.

Re: Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? Joeven... Go with the STEELERS! They are more like your beloved Bills and used to have great rivalries with them. I am working hard on converting you!!! By the way, Jim Kelly was a Steelers fan via his roots - a Brady Bend, PA guy. PA has produced so many great quarterbacks starting with George Blanda, Johny Unitas and continuing with Namath, Montana, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino... on and on.

Re: Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? Regardless of who wins, on paper it should be a very good game. Although I hope Green Bay wins outright, I'm happy with the Steelers and 3 points I got!

Re: Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? A guy I went to High School with was just on TV - just audio, but he was saying that it is totally disorganized. Total disarray. Very little noticeable security, and almost no ushers to help guide them and get people in line. People are just milling around - some are getting in fights, jumping lines. Some 2000 with tickets are being told they won't be allowed in because some stadium seats are being deemed unsafe by a fire marshall!!! KA_RAAAZZZYYY!

Re: Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? packers 17, steelers 16, but that's just an off the cuff prediction and not based on a lot, especially since i havent watched hardly any steeler's games. but, i like a scrambling quarterback and greenbay has one and the steeler's quarterback was suspended for four games this season for some sort of scandal. still, the steelers are reported to have a very tough defense, which is the old time steelers game and they say that offense brings the fans but defense wins games, so we'll see

Re: Super Bowl 45 - Steelers or Packers? The Steelers made it close at the end. That's the kind of game you want Joe Montana in the last two minutes down by 6. How many times in Joe's career did he march down the field with two minutes left to win the big game. Best clutch quarterback ever. Joe
