Hi, I'm new here. This looks like such a great forum! I'm a video technician, formerly specializing in color correction in broadcast applications. I've tried transposing some of those skills to my photography, and am very much enjoying the breadth of tools available.
By no means am I even close to the level of anyone's work I've seen on this site, but am thrilled to find a place where one can attempt to learn, and have considerate feedback.
I only use GIMP at the moment, but I love it, and enjoy searching out tutorials, or trying to adapt PS ones for it.
I've a long way to go, but am glad to be here!

Hey[/FONT] all, Just joined, looking for some ideas/help on editing an old photo of my guy's Mom, it's her HS grad photo & in b/w. My intentions are to colorize it, I'm using Photoshop Vs. 7.0, which is just fine for this photo as well as my other projects. I hope to learn a lot here,

Hi Deew, I'm pretty new here myself. But welcome to you! I'm right now working on one of the retouching challenges. I should be ready to post it in another couple of days. I use GIMP, sort of "the poor man's Photoshop"! But it's a powerful tool, and many of the Photoshop tutorials are adaptable to it. I'm sure you can learn alot for your colorizing project here, there's alot of great and helpful people it seems.
