Robert Ash Exhibit is First Major Show for ARTtrus

Hi,

Wasn't sure where to post this so I figured the Salon is a good place

David Saffir published a great news release on his Top 100 Global photography blog about my upcoming show at the State Theater of Kansas starting Aug 5 and running for 2 months.

It starts Aug 5, runs for 2 months and involves several major firsts:

• First-ever one-photographer exhibit in the life of this important gallery in the American midwest has ever done
  • They turned down 200 photographers before approaching me
• First major art show in the US for the ground-breaking secure identification and authentication technology from ARTtrust
  • Robert Ash Photography is the first major customer of this technology in the US
    • it's used widely internationally in the fine art market and by governments but is new in the US and new in the photography market

It's also my first major solo art show, so that's a really exciting personal milestone. Needless to say, I'm really psyched!

It was a great event. Got lots of publicity, too, I found out afterward:

• Topeka Daily Capitol published a big piece on it.
• Kansas Public Radio did a feature story on it
• 3 other city papers covered it.
• ARTtrust in Paris, France picked it up as well.

The gallery said afterward that it was the most successful opening night in its history.

Not able to quit my day job just yet but it's a small step
