I have been giving it some thought. Thanks to my Latino genetics from my mother, my eyes are dark brown. Not seriously dark brown, but a little darker than average. But my father was German and had very blue eyes. It really does make me wonder what shade of blue is under my slightly dark brown. But, because of my Latino complection, I would much rather have green eyes for a more Hispanic look. I would even be happy with a shade of hazel.

Would I do it? No, because the final would be unknown. It's a one-way ticket with no real guarantees.

Now, what might be interesting is not to do the whole iris. More like pointalizism to let some of the underlying blue through, but not quite all of it.

Something like that might lead to some interesting things. Tattooing the iris, so to speak. How would you like a bio-hazard symbol in one eye? Or how about a Star of David right around the pupil? I can see it now. Comic fanboys getting a Batman, Superman, or Green Lantern Corps symbol. USMC folks getting "Semper Fidelis" in a circle around the pupil. Personally, I would get the Eye of Rah in my left eye. Heh.

seems foolish to me to risk the loss of sight for some silly vanity. i'd suggest colored contacts. much safer

I would not do it. I had eye surgery to correct my vision, and that didn't work as well as I had hoped - glad I only had one eye done!
