Greg,
I'm typing this at 1:15 am... so I'm not sure you're going to take my advise seriously!
First... what's happened is, you've conditioned your body. You've thrown your bodies internal time clock off. Much like people who travel and are jet lagged. Melatonin is not such a bad idea for starters.
Taking a nap is probably the worst thing you could do. Fight the temptation to do so, or you're going to throw your cycle off even further.
It's a good idea to avoid any caffeine late in the day.
It's important that you try to go to sleep at relatively the same time every night. Helps to develop a good pattern.
Try to exercise throughout the day.
Try reading a book... as long as it's not overly stimulating.
Are you under any stress? That may play a bigger role in your sleep pattern then you think.
Finally - don't listen to people who give you advise after 1:00 am.... they're closest insomniacs!
Lisa
