| I can understand the paranoia bit. I have a hard time trusting my own government, let alone an internet site. I found this site through the October issue of Smart Computing. If you happen to have it, it can be found on page 51. It says, in part, "CardCops reportedly uses 128 bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption while your number is being transmitted for checking, and stolen numbers in the database are also encrypted (it stores only stolen numbers)".
