| | Excuse me, do you have the time? Want to know the correct time? You could go to www.worldtimeserver.com and see the accurate time in an ordinary but professional webpage,
OR you could use Humanclock and "Get a different picture every minute of people, from all over the world, showing you the time." It automatically updates for you. (FIRST you have to click on 'clock' and tell it the time where you are -- then it will go on from there. Look at the Control Panel for some dorky but funny options. Humanclock |

| | Hi CJ, thanks for the link. I have just successfully created a network in my apartment so I can surf using my laptop, watching tv sitting in my big easy chair.
To test out my new connection, guess where I logged on first |

| | Margaret, sounds like a perfect arrangement! For me, I'd need to add a direct line to the cokes in my fridge. |

| | Thank you CJ. Very handy sites. But if you don't accept cookies, Humanclock is very limited. Worldtimeserver surprised me because the part of Indiana I live in uses a different time (Chicago style ) than most of the state. But it did show up correctly. Cool!!

| | thanks for the links CJ, that Human clock site is hilarious
I use the automatic synchronization feature in WinXP (time.nist.gov) to keep the correct time, and when I checked the world time server site for Alberta time, it was right on.

Unless I missed a joke of such subtlety it went clean over my head what is the time difference between you and the rest of the state? |

| | Chris,
That's something that even I'm not real familiar with. I think part of the state is on eastern standard time, part of the state does not go to daylight savings time when the rest of the state does, and part of it is on central standard time. I guess the reason we're on the time we are is because of our close proximity with Chicago. Whenever I ask my wife if she's ready for lunch, she always looks at her watch before answering. So if we're traveling across the state, she never knows if she's hungry or not!
