Most of the explanation is not in English, but the color wheel is so well done, it really doesn't matter.

This site doesn't actually tell you what colours look god together - it's more focused on web- and browser- safe colours. But it's soooooo pretty I had to mention it.

And this one takes two starting colours as input and generates intermediate steps between them.

Also, a tip from another site - use the "Browse Colors" option at behr.com to generate good colour combinations - it's designed for paint, but no reason you can't do a screen grab and sample the colours at the end. And it's so user-friendly!
