No, they wouldn't allow camers or any recording device and had several lines of security people to go through if you were carrying anything. We couldn't even see their faces that well except on the TV screens.

If only I could afford all the concerts I want to go to. I would have loved to have seen the Eagles. I saw Don Henley at a benifit concert a couple years ago and he was great!. I bought my Rolling Stones tickets for November and that killed my budget, though.

I am finding myself listening to music even more over the past few weeks as a way to relax (and sometimes let off steam!)...with so many new members I thought it might be nice to revive this old thread and perhaps learn about some new music.

I have been listening to Erykah Badu, Propellerheads (good driving music!) and some old Pat Metheny (jazz) to relax to.

Just paged thru' this thread to refresh my memory, and see many names from the past (both artists and members!).

Currently, I'm listening to some old Rod Stewart in my car. Just remastered from LP. Also good driving music.

Hey Al.... glad you brought this thread back up. I'm really enjoying a new release from a 80's band called Simply Red. The album is called Home and the title track is breath taking. The whole CD is amazing.

Hey Lisa, good to see that you still pop by. It was actually Greg that re-awoke the thread!!

I've heard a couple of Simply Red tracks on the radio, but must admit that I haven't listened all that closely

Good move Greg! Has anyone heard the newest "Fleetwood Mac" release? I know it can't be better than "Rumors"!

New Community Forum?

Dear Doug and fellow RP members - I would like to propose a new forum sub section in the community section of this site...The RetouchPro Album Review Club!

The criteria - a small one sentence/paragraph blurb to whatever bandwidth you want to plug an album that moves you.

Any music genre, with an attempt to label the music into a category - or at least to say that artist or album X is like a cross between Y and Z to help those decide who may be interested (I know how limiting it is to label an artist into a category <g>).

I love music and have a "broad but narrow" range of musical taste - and would find this a welcome addition to the excellent movie and cooking sub sections.

Suggestions, comments?

Sincerely,

Stephen Marsh.
