Cool, but useless

I discovered this by accident, can't think of a retouching use (although I could see it used for psychedelic posters). It loses the effect at low rez, so I couldn't attach a file, but here's how to replicate:

1. Make a new doc, 8x10 (horizontal), 300ppi, white bg, RGB
2. Use Other>DitherBox to draw in some fine regular lines (mine were 2 pixels black, 6 white)
3. Apply Distort>Polar Coordinates

DitherBox is in your PS install disc Goodies folder. Just copy it to your plugins directory.

That IS cool! I'm generally facinated by interference patterns.

What's REALLY cool though is DITHERBOX. I've never used it before and I happen to need an easy way to draw patterns of lines in PS. I was doing it the hard way before and it got to the point that I would put off that work just because I hated doing the lines.

Thank you.

Chip

If I could find my install disc I'd have a try, trouble is I've no idea where I left it, thanks for the info though, when I find it I'll have a try.
