Turkey is a democracy although the army has always guarded the secular nature of government.

Hey BigAl, can you keep us informed? We don't always get the best coverage on Zim news here unless we hunt for it online or something. Like to know how things develope with this State of the Nation speach.

Looks like Mugabe has given an August eviction notice to all white farmers.

I'll try to keep you guys informed on what I hear, especially as Sam's hubby is still in Zim. You may want to check out the report in an SA newspaper. This quote from the article should give you an idea of how pompous mad bob actually is:
Quote:
To those who want to own this country for Britain, the game is up and it is time for them to go where they belong. There is no room for rapacious supremacists
If the link I gave doesn't work, try this one and head for the lead story.

almost as crazy as Idi Amin (sic) anyone remember him. A brutal dictator in Africa in the '70s. Everyone hated him throughout the world. Where is he now, either dead or exiled. It' hard for these people. You have to temper it or your own will take you out. Castro has played it very well.

Sorry I haven't been very good at keeping up with this thread ... this computer (my mother's) ought to be in a museum, plus it has an irritating habit of crashing every so often.

Al - all that stuff about 'we will never be a colony again' makes me laugh/cry ... we are on the verge of becoming a colony any day now ... a Libyan one. Mad Bob only has stolen white farms to use as payment for the oil he's getting from Gadaffi - the latter must be rubbing his paws with glee.

wow...I did not realize that about Libya and Zim. Makes you wonder how anyone can listen to Mugabe's propaganda and keep a straight face...I suppose many people still see him as a hero and anything he says must be right?

Chris - quit eating the pasta and save the gunk for later compaction into bricks. Then we'll all meet up in Sctoland, or wherever, and make Sam a new house. My god, man, at the rate you're going you've already eaten Sam's den, the utility room, and two bedrooms.
