Photoshop book question

I'm working on a project, and could use some opinions.

If you're reading a Photoshop book and you find at the end of each chapter is a quiz to help you determine how much you absorbed from the chapter, do you take the quiz? Or do you skip it and move on to the next chapter?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Skip it, probably. If it had nice pictures I'd be likely to skim-read it and maybe think about the questions, but I wouldn't carefully work through it.

I skip quizes but sometimes I do projects if they are suggested. I rarely read technical books start to finish. I look for techniques I need at the time or try new techniques that seem interesting.
Katrin Eismann's book was an exception, I read most of it straight through.

If it was examples that I thought would help my understanding, I'd have a go at it. If it's just questions and answers, then like the others I'd probably skip it.

always skipping on the first reading, give it a bit of a thought on second reading, and if i don't loose/burn/eat/shred the book, play w/ the questions later on...

I wouldn't necessarily take the quiz, but I'd probably skim through it to see where I need to spend a little more time.

If I was presenting a course I'd probably skim thru them for ideas, otherwise I'd skip.

I think it would depend on the format of the book. If it were more of a reference book I would probably jump around to each topic as needed. If each subsequent chapter built on the ones prior, I would definately take the quiz. I might even give myself a gold star if I did well! But then I always was kind of a teacher's pet! LOL!
