To be fair to the lurkers, half of them are usually searchbots for Google, AOL, etc.

But to the other half, welcome and don't be afraid to jump right in!

Hi, I've recently become a member and am in the habit of lurking. I'm sure when I've become comfortable with the names and habits of the other members that I'll join in. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the site very much!

No excuse !

Mgifford,
Thanks for taking the time to pop in and say hello, however, getting used to names and habits is merely an excuse.....get off your backside and start contributing, thats the quickest way to get stuck in here. I myself am new here too, on joined a week ago or so, maybe not even that long, but have found and made this place my second home as the atmosphere is fantastic and the people very helpful and friend.

One warning though, whilst the majority dont bite, there are one or two you need to watch out for (Danny Raphael *wink wink*), nah only kidding, everyone here is great and as you have probably witnessed from you lurking habits, they make EVERYONE feel welcome.

So once again, thanks for coming out of the dark and hope to see some posts soon.

Hi Mgifford, welcome to RP, don't worry, most of the members here are house trained, and very few bite without warning. Look forward to seeing some posts from you.

Mgifford:

Let me add my welcome, too.

When you're ready to jump into the pool, you'll be greated with life preservers, not sharks. Participating can take the form of a question (in general), seeking advice on an attached image, commenting on an existing thread or sharing a link to a cool website you've discovered. Regardless of how one chooses to participate, many folks benefit.

I hope you know by now Axle was pulling your leg and that Gary's spot on: I do put the seat down.

Look forward to seeing you on the forums.

~Danny~

Talking

Hello, just joined up today.

Just a brief history on myself I've worked in the minilab industry in Australia since 1988. From 2000 I was introduced to the wonderful Frontier systems and have to say they are a godsend... But that being the case Frontier's have introduced me to new customer related problems and that is the answering of PS technical questions.

Anyway I hope to learn from this site and hopefully be of some help.

Cheers

Welcome, Fotonut:

Lots of people "sign up." A very small percentage participate. Don't be bashful when it comes to asking questions or replying with suggestions.

Hi! My name is Beth. I have learned so much from this site and a couple of others I lurk about on. Thanks for all you do. Usually I am so busy trying to learn what you are talking about that I don't have anything to add!

Have a great day!

Hi Beth:

Glad to hear you're learning a lot. This site is loaded with terrific information.

I'm sure not all of what you read is 100% clear, so a great "no risk" way to contribute is to ask for clarification or follow-up questions.

Anyway, thanks for checking in. Nice to know you're out there, learning and having fun.

~Danny~
