Re: Stuff you can do with clouds

I saw a way to make lightning effect out of the clouds once. Wish i could find it again to post here. Its amazing what you can do with something that seams so useless as a filter that makes clouds. lol.

Re: Stuff you can do with clouds

I know this is resurecting an old thread but i'm new to all this Photoshop stuff and I was having a play. The attached is;
Render clouds
Radial blur
Twirl
Plastic wrap
Then a layer above for a blue colour on colour burn blending.

I tried to put a plug hole into the picture to simulate water going down but my skills aren't there yet. Any tips would be handy.

Re: Stuff you can do with clouds

No clouds for me, Terrazzo, new image 1024x768 sRGB, add color grain, small 6, medium 12, large 18, equalize histogram. Thanks for all the art-from-nothing ideas, enjoyed.

Re: Stuff you can do with clouds

Used clouds, fibers, one abstract brush, and the polar coordinates filter. Was impressed with the face that showed up after polar coordinates filter ran on the abstract brush.

Re: Stuff you can do with clouds

Ran clouds on each channel separately, find edges, copy merged and emboss, overlay blend mode, duped emboss layer 3 times, copy merge again, put over a color fill layer, then tried different blend modes. The only difference in these is the blend mode.

Purely an accident, I was not still in Halloween mode.
