Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004

Are there any Fireworks MX 2004 Pros here?

I'd like to learn how to do masking and other nifty techniques using it. I'm not opposed to moving to Photoshop but am a registered owner of Macromedia Studio MX 2004 (Fireworks MX, Dreamweaver MX, Flash MX, etc.).
