Dreampix,
I just tried the brush preset thing and it doesn't seem big enough to make enough details to print

Pan Pan I worked a it on the fur on the stockings too. So far so good! .

Hi Loverly !

Such an interesting project, I love Xms motifs ! Was browsing for likely material for evergreen brushes and came up with some promissing photos. How soon do you need the things for the garland or banner, what resolution would you need the images to have for the mantelpiece. (sorry for so many questions ) I would love to try doing something, furry boots, evergreen garland etc.

Regards - Martha

Thx Martha,
Here is the card so far. I need some garland in 300dpi and it is an 8x10 (2400x3000) and ASAP. The photog is going to put these on display when they are finished to sell them as custom Christmas photo cards for families and kids along with a few others I have made already so now is the time to get them finished!

I don't think I mentioned that the lil family members will be in the stockings and maybe tomorrow I'll put pics of my kids in them for a trial run.

OK, Loverly,

Will start some of the brushes thing tonight (it is past midnight here and have to get up at 5 am tomorrow !) and hope that could have something to show by tomorrow Tuesday 4th evening when I get from work.
Hope it will still be on time for you to use, if you like them of course !

Regards - Martha

Hi Loverly !

Rather in a hurry but hope you can use them, below a sample of the brushes I created for your garland, they were made with a high resolution image and the preset size is 1057 px and the other one slightly larger, can't quite remember now.
I am PM'ing you the link to dwld the zip with the brushes, I included also one I made from a photo of mink fur though it did not came out too good.

Hope you can use some of them.

Best regards - Martha

like martha, it's a bit late and i need to be heading to bed, but thought i'd throw this together real quickly to give you an idea of some of the tubes available to psp (these have been collected by me since version 7).

no time to try a garland brush right now, but tubes has some new features and it might be possible to make a 'continuous tube' from one of these.

ok, i was right. the tubes can be set to continuous of varying steps and sizes giving some very nice renditions of garlands very easy to do if you have good base images to work with.

Hey Craig and Marath,
Here is what the template looks like with some photos of my kids and cats.

Thanks for trying so hard Martha!

I think I like the holly garland Craig. Anyway could you just send it in resolution 300 already made up so I don't have to download the whole PSP prog just to get it? 300 res 10x8 Loverly642@aol.com

Hugs,

Loverly

loverly,

ok, i took the image you posted that had the black and white garland. i pumped it up to 3600 x 2400 at 300 dpi (yours was 200 dpi). i then made a new raster layer and used your black and white garland as a guide of where to put mine. but, i'm still missing info here. you want it tight, closely spaced holly, or a larger or smaller size than your black and white and what file type would you like it in? i can save it many different ways, including .tif, .jpg, or .psd, and then zip it up. but, the file size is LARGE, over 10 megs and i dont think my email will allow over 10 megs. IF that's the case, i can post it on my (borrowed) server and you could ftp it. i'd have to let you know the addy, but that's easy enough.

i made one up and it looks fairly nice, but i'd just like to get you what you really want. my examples image has some fairly tight, loose, and medium in varying sizes. so, let me know.

Craig

Unhappy 20 MB and counting !!

Sorry again Lisa,

This seems to be a no solution problem, a file at 300dpi in the dimensions you need will not be possible to post here as I thought, since to reduce a 20+MB file to the allowed 100kb would be a waste of time.

I could of course zip it and post it like I did with the brushes, perhaps using another storage site, but then you will have the same problem downloading it. So regretfully I have to give up

Maybe Craig could find a solution for you ?

Regards and good luck with your project
