Lost Keyboard Shortcut

I use the keyboard shortcut Shift+F5 to fill selections. Recently, it no longer works to fill a selection. (I can use the Edit>Fill option). One time I tried using it and it prompted me that "Command Grow" could not be used. Now, when I try Shift+F5 I get a selection of parts of the image, almost like a Luminosity selection. I may have used the Select>Grow function at some point, but I don't recall that.

What have I done? Doug, Phil?

Ken

Unless some other app has hijacked that shortcut, it should still work. Check your keyboard prefs menu, it might have been disabled. You might want to restore your default keyboard config.

Thanks Doug,

I did re-set keyboard default, nothing. I made a rectangle with the marquee tool and attempted to fill with Shift+F5 and the history state said "Grow". So I don't know!?!? I wonder if I set up a custom keyboard shortcut to restore it, if that would work.

I show Grow has no shortcut assigned, so check your keyboard prefs to see if it hijacked that key combo.
