Virtual Photographer

This appears to be a free Photoshop plugin. Someone give it a whirl and report back.

Hi Doug,
It's an excellent plugin to have. I've been using it off and on for quite a while now and it's really great. It comes loaded with presets but you can very easily adjust the settings. All in all I would recommend it, especially since it's free!

Highly recommend it.

I too have been using it on and off for over a year now. Just can't beat the price either (and you all know how cheap I am).

Third Times A Charm

I third that motion..... I love the plugin and all that goes with it. That means all the extras. They are all good.

I've been using it for awhile too...feels like a couple of years...the only thing I can't figure out is how to load up the additional presets....where do they go?

(hubby usually does the software part for me - I'm just getting into doing that myself)

Julia

ps - I find I use it more depending on my mood and how I love to use it is to use it on a duplicate layer and then experiment with opacity and blending mode...

Make a folder for them!

Make a new folder in the Preset file. Name it Optik Verve or whatever you choose for the additional filters. When you get them from the site download them into that folder and then when you need them go to the "load" button at the bottom of the program and you will see your files. They won't stay in the main portion. They are additions too...

Hope this helped.

I'm a Mac user but I've been amazed at the quality of the options virtualPhotographer offers! I first ran it under Virtual PC (no pun intended!), more recently on an Intel Mac.

Here are some of the results I came up with.

I had some correspondence with the author and he said a Mac version was in the works. When released, it will make quite an impression!

I really like your reviews and have read several of your PDF's over the last few months.
